The lakes are iced off and are starting to fish incredibly well! Callibaetis and damsel flies are particularly effective, with hatches becoming more consistent as the lakes warm up. This is an excellent option to escape the summer crowds and find some water of your own.

**Please check the YNP backcountry situation report to ensure your not traveling to a closed lake or through a closed area to access the lake**
